Research Project on the Remote Indigenous Communities.
This project began with a research question: "How are Remote Indigenous Communities Adapting to Climate Change and Globalization?"
From there, three communities were selected: the Maasai, the Inuit, and the Sherpa people.

The Purpose
The purpose of this research is to shed light on how three remote indigenous communities are adapting to global issues, underline the unique ways each community is affected, and explore solutions the groups have found. Ultimately, it is to inform viewers about underrepresented communities and topics.
The Audience
The audience varies, but will include academia, such as college classrooms and hallways, as well as campus and public libraries.
Type Studies
I conducted three type studies to analyze which combination would be best for my poster. Ultimately, I decided to use DIN 2014 for the title and body copy.
Color Studies
I conducted three color studies, compiling different images for inspiration for my poster. In the end, I went with the first image's color combination. The combination of warm and cool earthy tones create a grounded mood, which correlates with the serious question being asked.

Drafts
Before creating the drafts, type and color studies were conducted, information about the three groups were compiled, and data was assembled into charts. The Data Visualization poster underwent four drafts before arriving at the final poster.
Data is necessary to inform the audience on the importance of the topic.
The final poster was complete after four rounds of revision. Each chart was created in Adobe Illustrator to add detail and a playfulness to the otherwise very serious topic. Additionally, the colors and typefaces were used from the studies in the process brief. Ultimately, it was very insightful to create this poster based off of my research question, and I enjoyed researching the topic and developing this poster.
